Interested in visiting the Mechanical Engineering Human-Robotics lab? Tours will be leaving from Melbourne Connect with a tour guide! You can meet our volunteer in the Level 5 Kitchen every half-hour (6:30pm, 7:00pm, 7:30pm, 8:00pm).
The University of Melbourne’s Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Research Group is excited to invite attendees of the 2025 Human-Robot Interaction conference to visit our lab facilities at Melbourne Connect and see live demos and displays of our recent research projects. The visit will take place in our research facilities in Melbourne Connect at our university’s Parkville campus. Researchers will present demos in the areas of human-robot interaction, virtual reality, ubiquitous computing, and other human-computer interaction domains. There will also be refreshments and snacks. Prepare for an enjoyable evening of socializing and looking at diverse projects!

Both the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and Melbourne Connect are conveniently located close to Tram stops. Melbourne Connect is located 1 minute walk away from the “Melbourne University/Swanston St #1” tram stop.
There are two time slots: 6:30pm-7:30pm and 7:30pm-8:30pm.
The tours map will be available at the venue., including a list of all demos. Some demos will feature robots like the Furhat, Tiago, and Franka Robot Arm. We also have projects from other HCI disciplines being featured, including our Hybrid Games research and Virtual Reality projects.
